Thank you to the 40 people would found something in this poem that spoke to them.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRINT … I love this little print for its simplicity & elegance. It also reflects one of my first type purchases, Centaur, cut by Bruce Rogers in 1915. The large letter is a 72. pt. Cloister Old Style decorative initial. My mother-in-law found an entire alphabet at a junk store and gifted them to me. It was a number of years before I figured out exactly what I had. Remember, the Internet did not always exist. I happened to pull the right book off a library shelf and open it to the right page. Justifying type (setting it so the margins are equal on each side) get more difficult the shorter the line is. I could not make this work for the life of me, till I pulled a printer’s cheat—I hyphenated a one-syllable word (!). The poem is in couplets, which you lose with the justified type. Persephone is the Goddess of the Seasons, so she was my obvious choice to dedicate the verse to. I don’t have the exact date I printed, it was pre-children, also known as another world.
