WHAT I LIKE ABOUT HIS PRINT … it was lost, but now is found. This was my first foray into larger linocuts back in maybe 1996. My wife was on an internship and I had the month of August to myself and spend it in the rather warm expansion attic of the first home we owned working on this print. When we moved to our second house it somehow became lost. At least I hadn’t seen it in years. The block was damaged in the big Duluth flood of 2012. Then, last January, I decided to organize my flat files where I store large sheets of paper . And lo!, at the bottom of the lower drawer, in the back, I found 7 copies! This swirling piece is a traditional Celtic spiral pattern. I had a hard enough time carving it in linoleum, so I stand in awe of the ancient artists that once carved it in stone.
